Welcome to Dust Bunny Central (DBC)

This site was developed to bring together family, friends and fellow researchers related to the Boswell and Seaberry clans. My intent is to provide useful information to genealogy enthusiasts to entice them to return, share information and connect through the DBC Community by marking your location and leaving comments in the guestbook, joining the mailing list and/or contacting others through e-mail addresses or personal website information voluntarily provided.

To many, genealogy is a fascinating hobby and to some a full time job. For me, what started out as a high school project many years ago has blossomed into a hobby and profession that continues to intrigue, grow and consume my time. This site began as a way to find other researchers that share the same ancestors and I am pleased to say it has worked. My sincere thanks to all the researchers who have taken the time to contact and share information. I look forward to meeting more who share the same heritage.

For years I have collected family memorabilia, old documents, photographs, letters and diaries.  I am known throughout the family as Queen Dust Bunny, keeper of the family treasures. The stories, pictures, abstracts and legal documents provide a fascinating look at how our ancestors lived, worked and played. They confirm our links and bring our ancestors to life. Through research I have been able to contact distant relatives that I never knew existed.  The dust bunnies are in heaven among all the papers, files and treasures stored in the closet.

Dust Bunnies? It is well known that dust bunnies are a genealogist's friend. In his or her quest for information, the family historian tends to store all kinds of photographs, records and resources. Dust bunnies like to hide among the various papers and memorabilia stored in boxes, files, attics and garages. Queen DB speaks from experience. The size of the individual dust bunny as well as the colony depends on how it is cared for. Some can grow quite large and are easier to spot then others. If you look around carefully, you too may find dust bunnies hiding in corners and other cool dark places around you.

For those of you who are just getting started be prepared for the accumulation of paper, paper, and more paper. Many types of documents contain bits and pieces of an individual's story, from personal letters to official records. The old papers in your attic are a goldmine to the genealogist so please don't throw them away! (This is also a perfect place to find wild dust bunnies.) Who knows...you may even decide to join the efforts of various and distant relatives in gathering dust bunnies as well as information about your roots. Getting started is easy - just fill in a name and click the "Search" button and away you will go on a project that will have dust bunnies jumping for joy.
